Late last month, we were thrilled to not only reach a milestone in the history of Metricon but also hand over the keys to the Mir family’s brand-new home in Ashburton – a Designer by Metricon Doulton 50 – the 65,000th home we have built in our incredible 46-year history.
“It’s been amazing to meet the Mir family coming into their new home on what is also a significant milestone for Metricon – our 65,000th home. And with in excess of 13,000 homes to be built nationally, our pipeline of work is the strongest in the history of our business, we’re looking forward to building on this milestone and constructing many more dream homes for Australians.” Peter Langfelder, Metricon CEO
Brimming with excitement about the completion of their forever home in an area they love, Dr Heshaam, his wife Sadia and their two children Safeena and Samah are all set to move in and enjoy the spoils of their new home, their first knock down rebuild project in Australia after living in the USA for several years.
“You never really know how it’s going to turn out, but when we walked in and saw the final result, we absolutely fell in love with it.” Dr Heshaam, Metricon customer
To celebrate this significant milestone, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and then Site Manager, John Taquino, presented the family with a number of beautiful housewarming gifts including a Robo Vac from Carpet Call (which the kids were particularly keen on trying out), a $500 Ensemble voucher and a spray mop to keep their beautiful timber floors looking their best (thanks to our friends at Perfect Timber Floors).
“From researching designs and materials to making our selections, it’s been a surprisingly smooth process given we had to do a lot of the groundwork while in lockdown. As this was our first time building a home in Australia, we wanted to make sure we partnered with a builder we were confident with to help us through the process. And now we have our forever home completed.” Sadia Mir, Metricon customer
With the family set to move in by the end of the year, we look forward to checking in with them in 2023 to hear how much they’re loving life in their beautiful new home.
