    Training and Development

    Our people are what makes us Australia's leading new home builder. We want to attract and retain the best talent by providing access to professional and personal development to challenge and inspire our people.

    Metricon has teamed up with highly respected training organisations to design and deliver nationally accredited training programs that focus on building critical skills and enhancing capabilities.

    These programs include:

    • Certificate IV in Building and Construction This award-winning program was developed in partnership with RMIT University and the Master Builders Association of Victoria. The course explores the principles, techniques and regulations involved in the building and construction industry while providing practical experience in everything from preparing site sketches to conducting site supervision. This program combines workshops, on-line learning, specialist industry presentations and field trips.
    • Diploma of Building & Construction (Management) Construction is not just about building sites, it also involves planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to delivery. This course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge used by senior construction professionals involved with the management of residential building projects.
    • Certificate IV in Customer Engagement The course has been designed by Metricon for our people. The purpose is to develop excellence in customer service and engagement so we can delight our customers. The course provides practical tips and techniques that participants can apply immediately in the workplace to deliver outstanding customer service.
    • Diploma in Leadership and Management This program explores the critical capabilities that make an effective manager at Metricon. It covers the management of business, performance and people.

    In addition, we have a strong digital learning focus where our people have unlimited access to over 8,000 online training courses through the global LinkedIn Learning platform, covering everything from construction to creative thinking. This provides access to learning any time, any place, on any device.
