A bumper award month for our teams in Vic and Qld

Metricon

September was a big month for the Metricon team. As well as being named the number one home builder in Australia for the seventh consecutive year, in the HIA Colourbond Steel Housing Top 100 Report, we walked away with several HIA award wins for our display homes in Victoria and Queensland.

On Friday 9 September, the Designer by Metricon Artisan 55 with Pacific façade, which is on display in Fyansford, Geelong, was acknowledged for its outstanding modern design and workmanship, winning 'Best Display Home' in its respective category at the 2022 HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards.

Held annually, the awards celebrate the exceptional craftsmanship and standards of excellence in the residential and construction sectors of the building industry throughout Victoria.

“To receive this continued recognition for our workmanship, design, and ongoing dedication to the highest standards on and off the worksite, is a credit to our Regional West team. We’re so proud of our team and the outstanding homes we build in the region.” Simon West, Regional West Manager

The Artisan’s smart design balances an abundance of space and options for the family to entertain large groups while allowing room for family members to retreat and enjoy down time, ensuring the home offers fabulous flexibility for those seeking a new level of home design, style and aspiration in Geelong.

Featuring three generous living spaces and five large bedrooms (all with ensuites), the Artisan’s feature packed floorplan includes a walk-in pantry, home theatre and wine room as well as powder and leisure rooms.

Equally as impressive is the impact of two grand statement voids: one that welcomes you upon entry and then another that greets you when you walk through the home into the dining area. Both voids draw the eye up to a feature timber ceiling laced with modern pedants, ensuring that the home enjoys an abundance of natural light and sense of grand space.

“Geelong has experienced unprecedented demand and a strong desire for new home designer options, and the Artisan offers the best of both worlds, striking the perfect balance between modern contemporary living situated only a stone’s throw away from some of Victoria’s most stunning coastline.” Simon West

Not long after, on Friday 16 September, our Freedom by Metricon Avery 34 with Peak façade in Warragul, was commended for its harmonious assimilation with the natural surroundings, beautiful indoor-outdoor living spaces, and impeccable attention to detail, winning ‘Best Display Home $350,000 – $500,000’ at the 2002 HIA Eastern Victoria Regional Housing Awards.

Even more wins for our Queensland team

Most recently, our Designer by Metricon Vista 51 with Kubis façade in Broadbeach Waters took out the award for ‘Best Display Home’ in its respective category and 'Display Home of the Year' at the 2022 HIA-Williams Group Australia Gold Coast & Northern Rivers Housing Awards.

“We’re committed to continually developing new homes to suit evolving customer needs and budgets, and it’s this focus on design and innovation that means across our brands, Metricon really do have a home for every Australian family.” Adrian Popple, Metricon Design Director

What’s more, our Queensland team were proud to receive award wins for our Designer by Metricon Qualia 39 with Cove façade in Pelican Waters, which took out the award for ‘Best Display Home over $500,000’ and 'Display Home of the Year' at the HIA Sunshine Coast Wide Bay Housing Awards on Friday 9 September. This is the second regional award for the Qualia display home, which also received special recognition from the Master Builders Association in August.
