When IT professional Keyur and his wife Beejal first got in touch with Metricon, they were looking for a fresh start after frustrating experiences in property investment.

“We’d tried buying off-the-plan apartments, investing in a freestanding home, and even purchasing land to build, but nothing quite worked out for us,” Keyur recalls. “They were just too much effort for not enough return.”

A Seamless Journey
During their first dual occupancy build with Metricon, Keyur and Beejal were guided step-by-step through finding the right block, selecting Metricon’s Grange design, and choosing fixtures and finishes – all during the challenges of lockdown. “The whole journey was fantastic,” Keyur says.
When they sold both Grange homes, the results finally delivered the profitability they’d been searching for. Even so, Keyur explored other options before returning to Metricon for their next project.
“We were getting adventurous, so I thought, ‘Let’s check out other builders.’ But none of them had their processes sorted like Metricon,” Keyur shares. “I’ve got a day job, a young child, and my wife works full-time, too, so I need this process to run on cruise control.”
Keyur describes his role in the process simply: “I get my funding approved, pay my instalments on time, and everything else just happens,” he laughs. “I can wear the tag of a property developer and satisfy my ego, but really, Metricon’s doing all the heavy lifting.”

Mixing It Up
For their second project, Keyur and Beejal opted for a DualOcc by Metricon solution again but chose two different designs: the palatial four-bedroom, three-bathroom Genesis 33 and the equally luxurious Paragon 43. Together, the homes sit seamlessly side by side, creating a striking street presence.
“We wanted to do something different this time,” Keyur explains. “The Studio M team – my god, they’re so talented. The first time, I was more hands-on, but this time I left it all to them. They know the block, and what works best to create that wow factor. I had ideas, but they worked the magic.”
That magic extended throughout the build. “From planning to permits to construction, Metricon’s teams are on top of their game. The site managers are so talented and keep you fully updated throughout the journey,” Keyur says.

Display-Worthy Results
The final result was so impressive that Metricon showcased the development as display homes, a move that aligned perfectly with Keyur’s investment strategy. “It’s very appealing when you can market a home as a display home when you're trying to sell,” he says. “Potential buyers find it reassuring that the quality of the builds are high enough to warrant Metricon using them as display homes”
While the Paragon 43 has already sold, the Genesis 33 is still available to view before it's sold at auction. Meanwhile, Keyur and Beejal are already scouting their next development opportunity with Metricon.
“I feel like I’m working in a partnership,” Keyur says. “It’s worked out twice now, and each time, we learn something new. It’s not just about the numbers. We want to help create someone’s dream home.”
