Metricon Homes CEO Mario Biasin has today outlined a range of measures in response to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
“As Australia’s leading home builder, we are committed to supporting our people, customers, trades and suppliers affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Our first priority remains at all times the safety and wellbeing of all who have interactions with our business. We are taking practical precautions in line with the latest guidance from Federal and State authorities.
“Our thoughts are with the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers around the world who are on the frontline working to contain Coronavirus.
“At this time, Metricon’s operations and all building works are continuing as normal. We have a strong supply chain that puts us in a healthy position, and we have activated our Business Continuity Plan to ensure disruptions are minimised,” said Mario.
Metricon is carefully monitoring the situation and will evolve its approach as new developments come to light, providing its stakeholders with relevant updates as needed.
As at Tuesday 17 March, it is business as normal with the following additional measures in place:
