Metricon Homes have announced its support for Australians impacted by the current bushfire crisis.
Metricon revealed the following initiatives to help provide bushfire relief support:
Mario Biasin, Metricon's Chief Executive Officer, said "Over the past months, we have watched with shock and sadness as our great country has been ravaged by unprecedented bushfires. The toll of the fires has been vast, and we recognise the distress this has caused a great many people and the damage to our wildlife and the Australian landscape.
"As a proud Australian owned and operated business, we feel it's our duty to support bushfire relief efforts."
Mr Biasin also said that Metricon's Board of Directors would evaluate ways to support individuals who have lost their homes with favourable rebuild terms and concessions once the extent of the damage is more fully known.
"As a national home building company, Metricon is acutely aware of how homeownership contributes to a sense of belonging and wellbeing. In the coming weeks, we will develop a formalised approach to helping people rebuild.
Metricon's thoughts and best wishes are with all those impacted by this devastating situation," Mr Biasin concluded.
In addition to financial donations, Metricon will also encourage its employees to consider using their two days of annual volunteering leave to support charities undertaking bushfire relief activities.
